Founded by healthcare professionals with deep roots in South Florida, HAPA brings together pharmacists, pharmacy students, healthcare providers, and community partners to promote health literacy, medication safety, and access to reliable health information for underserved communities. |
What is HAPA?
HAPA is a Florida-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing public health education, pharmacy practice, and community outreach. While HAPA’s history and leadership are proudly connected to the Haitian-American experience, our work is not limited to any one ethnic, cultural, or national group. We serve individuals and families across underserved communities by providing culturally aware health education, medication counseling, community health programming, student mentoring, continuing education, and humanitarian service. Through health fairs, professional development programs, relief efforts, and partnerships, HAPA helps connect communities with trusted healthcare knowledge and resources that support informed health decisions.
